Deep within the historic city of Reims, hidden behind high stone walls directly opposite the Lanson cellars, lies a secret one-hectare sanctuary known as the Clos Lanson. This historic walled vineyard, dating back to the 18th century, is planted exclusively with Chardonnay and benefits from a unique urban microclimate and pure chalk soils. While Lanson is famous for avoiding malolactic fermentation to preserve razor-sharp acidity, Clos Lanson represents a majestic departure in its vinification: the juice is fermented entirely in old oak casks, adding a luxurious, rounded texture to the wine's vibrant spine of freshness. First released with the 2006 vintage, this rare Blanc de Blancs is a masterclass in precision, offering intense chalky minerality, white flowers, toasted brioche, and ripe citrus notes, representing the ultimate expression of Lanson's craftsmanship.

Founded in 1760 by François Delamotte and later renamed under the leadership of Jean-Baptiste Lanson in 1837, Champagne Lanson is one of the oldest and most prestigious houses in Reims, France.
