✨ Technical Specifications
Laurent-Perrier's Alexandra Rosé is a legendary prestige cuvée born from a romantic family secret. In 1987, the house's visionary leader, Bernard de Nonancourt, presented this exquisite vintage rosé at the wedding of his eldest daughter, Alexandra, having kept its creation entirely hidden from her until the celebration. This rare Champagne is crafted using an unusual co-maceration technique, where Grand Cru Pinot Noir (typically around 80%) from the Montagne de Reims and Chardonnay (around 20%) from the Côte des Blancs are macerated together. This delicate and demanding process yields a copper-apricot hue, remarkable aromatic complexity, and a silky texture. Aged for nearly a decade in the chalk cellars of Tours-sur-Marne, it represents the pinnacle of Laurent-Perrier's art of assemblage and maceration.
🍾 About the Producer
Established in 1812 by André Michel Pierlot in Tours-sur-Marne, Laurent-Perrier grew into one of Champagne's preeminent family-owned houses under the visionary stewardship of Bernard de Nonancourt. Situated at the junction of the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, and Côte des Blancs, the domaine draws from prestigious Grand Cru villages rooted in deep, moisture-regulating Belemnite chalk and limestone subsoils. Pioneering the systematic use of stainless-steel temperature-controlled fermentation during the late 1970s, Laurent-Perrier forged a signature vinous architecture anchored by Chardonnay dominance, absolute reductive clarity, crystalline freshness, and pristine tension without oxidative masking. Led cellar-side by Chef de Cave Olivier Vigneron under the custodianship of the de Nonancourt family, the estate's benchmark cuvées include its emblematic Cuvée Rosé macerated from 100% Pinot Noir and the prestigious Grand Siècle, a benchmark multi-vintage prestige assemblage blending three complementary declared vintage declarations to reconstruct the ideal year.
