Laurent-Perrier's Grand Siecle represents the pinnacle of the house's blending philosophy, conceived in 1959 by the legendary Bernard de Nonancourt. Rather than relying on a single vintage, Grand Siecle seeks to recreate the 'perfect year' by blending three exceptional, complementary vintages. Iteration No. 20 is a masterclass in this art, uniting the stellar vintages of 1999, 1997, and 1996. Named in honor of the 'Great Century' of King Louis XIV—the era when Champagne first graced the royal courts of France—this prestige cuvee is crafted from a selection of 11 of the region's most prestigious Grand Crus, blending approximately 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir. Aged for over a decade on its lees in the house's chalk cellars, this golden-hued Champagne delivers an extraordinary sensory journey, marrying mature notes of toasted brioche, honey, and roasted almonds with a vibrant, mineral-driven freshness.

Established in 1812 by André Michel Pierlot in Tours-sur-Marne, Laurent-Perrier grew into one of Champagne's preeminent family-owned houses under the visionary stewardship of Bernard de Nonancourt. Situated at the junction of the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, and Côte des Blancs, the domaine draws from prestigious Grand Cru villages rooted in deep, moisture-regulating Belemnite chalk and limestone subsoils. Pioneering the systematic use of stainless-steel temperature-controlled fermentation during the late 1970s, Laurent-Perrier forged a signature vinous architecture anchored by Chardonnay dominance, absolute reductive clarity, crystalline freshness, and pristine tension without oxidative masking.
