✨ Technical Specifications

Maison Louis Jadot's Premier Cru red wines represent the pinnacle of Burgundy's climat-based viticulture, sourced from esteemed Premier Cru parcels across the Côte d'Or, such as those in Beaune, Pommard, and Nuits-Saint-Georges. Since 1859, Jadot has focused on expressing the distinct personality of each terroir. These Pinot Noir wines are crafted using traditional fermentation in open oak vats followed by 15 to 18 months of aging in French oak barrels, many of which are produced at Jadot's own Cadus cooperage. This meticulous approach preserves the historical legacy of Burgundy's monastic vineyard delineations, resulting in deeply structured, elegant red wines characterized by ripe red berry fruits, forest floor undertones, and a refined mineral backbone typical of the region's clay-limestone soils.

🍾 About the Producer

Established in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot—following the Jadot family's 1826 acquisition of the benchmark Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Ursules—Maison Louis Jadot stands as one of Burgundy's defining houses. Today, the estate spans over 200 hectares of owned vineyards across the Côte d'Or, Beaujolais (Château des Jacques), and the Mâconnais (Domaine Ferret), complemented by historic négociant partnerships. Led vinously by Technical Director Frédéric Barnier following Jacques Lardière's legendary 42-year tenure, the cellar employs an ethos of minimal intervention: utilizing native yeast fermentations, extended macerations, and judicious, restrained new oak aging tailored to highlight each distinct climat. Spanning village terroirs up to coveted Grand Cru climats across limestone and clay-rich slopes, Jadot's benchmark expressions include Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Ursules (monopole), Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, Chevalier-Montrachet Les Demoiselles, and Musigny, each crafted to achieve immense ageability, structural purity, and site transparency.
