Louis Jadot, established in 1859 in the heart of Beaune, is one of Burgundy's most historic and revered houses. While Burgundy is famous for its rich, oak-aged Chardonnays, the 'Steel' Chardonnay represents a deliberate departure from tradition to celebrate the grape in its purest, unvarnished form. Sourced from select vineyards across the Bourgogne region, this 100% Chardonnay undergoes fermentation and aging entirely in stainless steel tanks with no oak contact. This deliberate winemaking choice preserves the vibrant green apple, bright citrus, and flinty mineral notes characteristic of the region's limestone-rich soils. It is a testament to Jadot's ability to marry centuries of Burgundian heritage with a clean, modern, and refreshing style that echoes the crispness of Chablis.

Maison Louis Jadot blev grundlagt i 1859 af Louis Henry Denis Jadot, efter at Jadot-familien allerede i 1826 havde erhvervet den legendariske Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Ursules, og vinhuset fremstår i dag som en af Bourgognes mest definerende institutioner. Ejendommen råder over mere end 200 hektar egne vinmarker fordelt over Côte d'Or, Beaujolais (Château des Jacques) og Mâconnais (Domaine Ferret), suppleret af historiske négociant-samarbejder. Den ønologiske linje varetages af teknisk direktør Frédéric Barnier, som overtog roret efter Jacques Lardières legendariske 42-årige virke. I kælderen arbejdes der ud fra en filosofi om minimal indgriben med spontangæring på vildgær, langvarig maceration og en velovervejet, afdæmpet brug af nyt egetræ, nøje afstemt for at fremhæve hvert enkelt climats særpræg. Fra sobre village-vine til de mest eftertragtede Grand Cru-parceller på kalk- og lerrige skråninger tæller Jadots referencevine blandt andet Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Ursules (monopole), Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, Chevalier-Montrachet Les Demoiselles og Musigny – alle skabt med henblik på exceptionelt lagringspotentiale, strukturel renhed og en udtalt transparens for deres terroir.
