Hailing from the rolling, limestone-rich hills of the Mâconnais in southern Burgundy, Louis Latour's Mâcon-Villages 'Chameroy' is a beautiful expression of pure, unvarnished Chardonnay. The name 'Chameroy' is historic to the house, representing a classic style that prioritizes freshness and fruit purity. To achieve this vibrant character, the grapes are fermented and aged exclusively in stainless steel tanks, undergoing full malolactic fermentation to soften the natural acidity and impart a subtle, creamy roundness. This traditional approach captures the essence of the region's clay-limestone soils, delivering a wine that is both delightfully approachable and deeply rooted in Burgundian heritage.

Maison Louis Latour blev grundlagt i 1797 og regnes blandt Bourgognes mest historiske, familieejede négociant-éleveurs og domæner. Huset råder desuden over Côte d'Ors største besiddelser af Grand Cru-vinmarker. Med solid forankring på Corton-højens kalkrige, syd- og sydøstvendte skråninger vinificerer Latour sine druer på det ikoniske, tyngdekraftsdrevne vineri Cuverie Corton Grancey i Aloxe-Corton. Markarbejdet følger strenge lutte raisonnée-principper med biologisk skadedyrsbekæmpelse, egen kompostering og et totalt fravalg af syntetisk gødning under en ISO 14001-certificering. Hvidvinsfremstillingen prioriterer et rent, mineralsk udtryk via temperaturstyret gæring på rustfri ståltanke efterfulgt af en afstemt fadlagring på franske egetræsfade fra husets eget bødkeri i Savigny-lès-Beaune. De røde vine vinificeres med fokus på en struktureret, klassisk ekstraktion. Foruden legendariske Côte d'Or-ikoner som Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, Château Corton Grancey og Romanée-Saint-Vivant 'Les Quatre Journaux' har Latour markeret sig som pioner med sydfranske terroirprojekter i henholdsvis Ardèches kalk- og lerholdige jorde og Vars højtbeliggende skråninger.
