These historic vineyards, once tended by Cistercian monks, feature complex limestone and clay soils that yield Pinot Noir of extraordinary depth and longevity. Practicing organic and biodynamic viticulture, the estate focuses on low yields and minimal intervention. In the cellar, the grapes undergo gentle fermentation with native yeasts and are aged in French oak barrels to preserve the pure, mineral-driven, and terroir-expressive character of the fruit. The resulting wines are powerful yet remarkably elegant, showcasing dark cherry, forest floor, and exquisite spice notes.

Founded in 1997 by American native Alex Gambal after studying viticulture in Beaune, Maison Alex Gambal represents a remarkable bridge between New World passion and classic Burgundian tradition. Operating from cellars along the historic boulevards of Beaune in the heart of Burgundy, the house evolved from a boutique négociant into an estate-holding domaine committed to organic viticultural principles and minimal-intervention vinification. The domaine crafts expressive, terroir-focused wines, utilizing indigenous yeasts and prudent oak aging to capture the pure essence of legendary climats.
