Markus Molitor's Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Auslese 1* is a masterclass in Mosel precision and artisanal dedication. Taking over his family's estate in 1984 at the age of 20, Molitor set out to revive the golden era of Mosel Riesling, characterized by extreme aging potential and terroir expression. The Bernkasteler Badstube vineyard, situated on steep, sun-drenched slopes of weathered Devonian slate, imparts a distinct, smoky minerality and vibrant acidity to the grapes. Molitor's unique star system denotes the level of selection and concentration, with this single-star Auslese representing a highly refined, hand-harvested selection of grapes.
