Hailing from the legendary, dizzyingly steep slopes of the Wehlener Sonnenuhr (Sundial of Wehlen) in the Mosel, this wine is a masterclass in precision and terroir. The vineyard is named after the historic sundial erected in 1842 by Jodocus Prüm to guide vineyard workers. Markus Molitor, renowned for his uncompromising quality, utilizes a unique color-coded capsule system; here, the white capsule signifies a dry style, while the three stars denote his highest tier of selection, representing grapes of extraordinary concentration. Grown on fractured blue Devonian slate soils, the 100% Riesling grapes are harvested by hand through multiple meticulous selections.
