Mezzacorona's Müller Thurgau is a tribute to the dramatic alpine slopes of Trentino, particularly the high-altitude vineyards of the Cembra Valley. Here, the vines cling to steep, terraced slopes carved into porphyritic rock, benefiting from intense alpine sunlight and cool mountain breezes that sweep down from the Dolomites. The Müller Thurgau grape, originally bred in Switzerland by Dr. Hermann Müller in the late 19th century, finds an ideal home in these dramatic heights. Mezzacorona, a historic cooperative founded in 1904, vinifies this mountain white entirely in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to safeguard its delicate, pristine character. The resulting wine is a vibrant expression of its high-altitude terroir, bursting with notes of white peach, wild sage, and mountain wildflowers, underpinned by a crisp, flinty minerality.
