Hailing from the historic Rioja Alavesa region, the Altos Ibéricos Parcelas Graciano by Familia Torres is a vibrant tribute to one of Rioja's most demanding yet rewarding indigenous grape varieties. Historically used in small percentages to add acidity and color to Tempranillo-dominated blends, Graciano takes center stage in this single-varietal bottling. The grapes are sourced from selected parcels near the village of Labastida, where the vines benefit from the cooling influences of the Sierra de Cantabria and nutrient-poor, clay-limestone soils. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes traditional Crianza aging in oak barrels for at least 12 months. This process tempers Graciano's naturally robust tannins and high acidity, resulting in a deeply colored, aromatic red characterized by intense notes of dark berries, violets, black pepper, and subtle toasted spice.
