Moët & Chandon's Rosé Impérial is a spontaneous, radiant, and romantic expression of the house's signature style. Historically, Moët & Chandon has a long legacy of crafting rosé Champagnes, dating back to the late 18th century when Napoleon Bonaparte and his mother, Letizia, famously ordered bottles of pink Champagne from Jean-Rémy Moët. The Rosé Impérial is crafted to highlight the diversity and complementarity of Champagne's three main grape varieties. The blend is dominated by Pinot Noir, part of which is vinified as red wine to provide color, structure, and intense red-fruit character, supported by Pinot Meunier for roundness, and Chardonnay for elegance and acidity. It is aged for at least 21 months on its lees in the house's extensive chalk cellars in Épernay, followed by a short post-disgorgement resting period to achieve its characteristic lively, red-berry-forward profile with a subtle touch of peach and mint.
