✨ Technical Specifications

Produced by Cantina Valpolicella Negrar under the Montigoli label, Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is a hallmark expression of Veneto's Valpolicella Classica zone. Crafted primarily from Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes grown in limestone-clay soils, the wine undergoes the traditional appassimento process where hand-picked bunches are air-dried in fruit drying sheds (fruttai) for 3 to 4 months. This dehydration concentrates sugars, acids, and flavors before slow fermentation and extended aging in oak casks, resulting in a robust, deeply complex, and velvety red wine.

🍾 About the Producer

Montigoli is a distinguished label crafted by Cantina Valpolicella Negrar, a historic cooperative winery founded in 1933 in the heart of Veneto's Valpolicella Classico zone. Drawing from hillside vineyards terraced across the valleys of Negrar, the brand is dedicated to showcasing the authentic viticultural heritage and unique microclimates of the region. Production relies on meticulous vineyard management and the traditional appassimento method, using native varieties such as Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella. Montigoli is acclaimed for its rich, structured red wines, most notably its Amarone della Valpolicella Classico and expressive Valpolicella Ripasso.
