Viña Morandé's Edición Limitada Black Pinot Noir is a testament to the winery's pioneering exploration of Chile's extreme cool-climate frontiers. Sourced from the southern reaches of Chile, where the glacial influence of the Andes meets the chilly breezes of the Pacific, this wine captures the vibrant tension of its terroir. The vineyards are planted on ancient volcanic soils, which impart a distinct mineral complexity and elegant structure to the grape. In the cellar, the winemaking team employs traditional, low-intervention techniques, including fermentation in open-top oak vats and aging in seasoned French oak foudres. This careful craftsmanship preserves the delicate, crunchy red-fruit character, wild herb notes, and earthy undertones that define southern Chilean Pinot Noir, resulting in a wine of remarkable tension, depth, and poise.

Viña Morandé blev grundlagt i 1996 af den visionære vinmager Pablo Morandé, som er almindeligt anerkendt for sin pionerindsats inden for vindyrkning i det kølige klima i Casablanca Valley. I dag rangerer vinhuset blandt Chiles mest innovative og respekterede producenter.
