The name is a playful nod to these 'petit' (small) grapes that yield an incredibly 'grand' and powerful wine. Sourced from selected vineyards in the Central Valley, the fruit benefits from warm days and cool nights, allowing these late-ripening varieties to develop intense color, robust tannins, and rich black fruit profiles. The winemaking philosophy focuses on capturing this raw intensity while using careful oak aging to smooth out the muscular structure, creating a deeply concentrated, complex, and avant-garde red blend.
