Sourced from the fertile soils of Chile's Central Valley, this Merlot Reserva captures the essence of the region's Mediterranean climate, where warm, sunny days are tempered by cool evening breezes from the Andes. The wine is crafted to emphasize fresh, vibrant fruit characteristics, undergoing temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks followed by brief aging with oak to add subtle complexity without overshadowing the grape's natural plushness.

Viña Morandé was founded in 1996 by visionary winemaker Pablo Morandé, widely celebrated as the viticultural pioneer who introduced commercial vine plantings to the cool, maritime-influenced Casablanca Valley. Now operating under the Morandé Wine Group umbrella with historical headquarters and cellars centered in Pelequén, the estate farms extensively across prime Chilean macro-terroirs ranging from coastal Casablanca and Limarí to the granitic dry-farmed Secano Interior of Maule and Itata. Under the cellar direction of Ricardo Baettig alongside Pablo Morandé, the winery is renowned for innovative technical methods, including early adoption of high-density plantings, concrete eggs, and traditional untoasted foudres. Across whites and sparkling expressions, the house crafts crisp coastal whites and classical cuvées alongside boundary-pushing benchmark bottlings such as Edición Limitada Black Chardonnay, Bestiario, and the noble rot dessert wine Edición Limitada Golden Harvest Sauvignon Blanc, marrying varietal freshness with textural complexity.
