โจ Technical Specifications
The 'Emilia' range by Nieto Senetiner is a heartfelt tribute to the inspiring women of the estate's history, capturing a spirit of elegance, hospitality, and modern vitality. Unlike the winery's more robust, cellar-worthy flagships, Emilia Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted to celebrate the immediate, vibrant fruit character of Mendoza. Sourced from selected vineyards across the region, the grapes undergo a gentle, temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel to preserve their primary aromatics. The result is a highly approachable, fresh expression of Cabernet Sauvignon, defined by ripe red currant notes, subtle black pepper, and soft, round tannins that reflect Mendoza's sun-drenched terroir without the heavy influence of oak.
๐พ About the Producer
Founded in 1888 by Italian immigrants in the premier Vistalba subregion of Lujรกn de Cuyo, Mendoza, Nieto Senetiner stands as one of Argentina's foundational and most storied wineries. Expanded and revitalized by the Nieto and Senetiner families beginning in 1969, the estate pairs more than a century of viticultural heritage with modern vinification techniques. Nestled in the high-altitude foothills of the Andes, the vineyards thrive in semi-arid conditions that produce concentrated, balanced fruit with remarkable depth. The winery is internationally celebrated for its rich, expressive Malbecs and its flagship Don Nicanor portfolio, showcasing complex red blends, old-vine selections, and refined varietal wines.
