✨ Technical Specifications
Crafted by the historic house of Osborne, founded in 1772 in El Puerto de Santa María, the 'Bailén' Oloroso is a magnificent expression of traditional Andalusian winemaking. Named in honor of the historic 1808 Battle of Bailén, a pivotal Spanish victory during the Peninsular War, this dry Sherry is made entirely from Palomino Fino grapes grown in the chalky albariza soils of Jerez. Unlike Fino sherries, Bailén undergoes purely oxidative aging without the protective veil of flor. It is aged for an average of six years in American oak casks through the classic Solera and Criaderas system. This slow contact with oxygen coaxes out a deep mahogany hue and a remarkably complex aromatic profile rich in toasted nuts, balsamic notes, and autumn leaves, embodying the profound heritage of the Marco de Jerez.
