Hailing from the sun-drenched hills of Tuscany, Piccini's Poggio Alto is a tribute to the region's rich winemaking heritage, crafted by a family whose legacy began in 1882. This red blend, dominated by the noble Sangiovese grape, is crafted using the historic 'Governo all'Uso Toscano' method. This ancient technique, dating back to the 14th century, involves adding a selection of semi-dried grapes to the freshly fermented wine, initiating a gentle second fermentation. This process imparts a luscious texture, vibrant fruitiness, and a velvety finish to the wine, beautifully capturing the warmth and rustic charm of the Tuscan countryside.
