Piper-Heidsieck's Grand Cinema edition is a celebratory release of the house's signature Cuvée Brut, paying homage to its long-standing and glamorous relationship with the silver screen. This cinematic love affair began in 1933 when a bottle of Piper-Heidsieck made an appearance in Laurel and Hardy's film Sons of the Desert, and was later immortalized by Marilyn Monroe, who famously claimed she started her days with a glass of this very Champagne. Structured primarily around Pinot Noir sourced from premier and grand cru vineyards, with supporting roles played by Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay, this non-vintage blend incorporates a significant proportion of reserve wines to ensure consistency and depth. It is crafted using the traditional method, aging on its lees to develop a harmonious balance of fresh pear, white peach, and toasted brioche notes.
