Hailing from the dramatic clay-limestone slopes of the Madiran appellation in South-West France, the Réserve des Tuguets is a benchmark expression of the region's formidable terroir and its signature grape, Tannat. Crafted by the skilled winemakers of the Plaimont cooperative, this cuvée pays homage to the 'tuguets'—the historic hilltops and ridges that define the Pyrenean foothills. Historically, Tannat was known for its fierce, rustic tannins, but through careful parcel selection, gentle extraction, and seasoned oak aging, Plaimont coaxes out a remarkably deep, velvety profile. The wine marries the intense black fruit and structural power of Tannat with the refined aromatics of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, resulting in a robust red that beautifully captures the rustic elegance and rich winemaking heritage of Gascony.
