✨ Technical Specifications
The Centenario bottling by Prunotto is a tribute to over a century of winemaking excellence in Piedmont, tracing its roots back to the founding of the 'Ai Vini delle Langhe' cooperative in 1904, which was later acquired and revitalized by Alfredo Prunotto in 1923. This exceptional red wine is crafted from Nebbiolo, the noble grape of the region, grown in the prestigious clay-limestone soils of the Langhe hills. Utilizing traditional long maceration and aging in large oak casks, this wine captures the essence of classic Piedmontese winemaking. It delivers a complex bouquet of dried roses, dark red fruits, licorice, and earthy undertones, backed by the firm structure and vibrant acidity characteristic of the region's finest terroirs.
🍾 About the Producer
Originally established in 1904 as the cooperative 'Ai Vini delle Langhe', the estate was acquired and redefined by visionary winemaker Alfredo Prunotto in 1922, establishing a legacy of excellence in Alba, Piedmont. After decades of pioneering single-vineyard cru bottlings under the Colla family, the historic estate became part of the Marchesi Antinori family in 1989, blending centuries-old Tuscan heritage with classic Piedmontese tradition. Prunotto champions precision viticulture and terroir-focused winemaking across the region's top terroirs, crafting legendary Nebbiolo expressions such as Barolo Bussia and Barbaresco Bric Turot alongside vibrant Barbera d'Asti, Roero Arneis, and fine grappas.
