Hailing from the prestigious Piedmontese estate of Prunotto, which has been shaping the viticultural landscape of the region since the early 20th century, the Grappa Costamiole is a refined distillate of historical pedigree. It is crafted from the fresh, moisture-rich pomace of Barbera grapes harvested from the acclaimed Costamiole vineyard in Agliano Terme—the very same grapes used to produce Prunotto's iconic Nizza DOCG wine. Distilled using traditional copper alembic stills to preserve the delicate, fruit-forward characteristics of the Barbera grape, the spirit is subsequently aged in oak barriques. This wood maturation bestows a beautiful amber hue and weaves complex layers of toasted hazelnut, vanilla, dark cherry, and sweet spices into the spirit, creating a harmonious bridge between the rustic tradition of Italian grappa and modern artisanal refinement.

Established in 1923 when Alfredo Prunotto acquired the cooperative 'Ai Vini delle Langhe,' the Prunotto winery is situated in Alba, in the heart of Italy's Piedmont region. Under the stewardship of the Antinori family since 1989, the estate has consistently championed the diverse terroirs of the Langhe and Monferrato hills. Prunotto balances traditional Piedmontese winemaking practices, such as aging in large oak casks, with modern precision to craft elegant, terroir-driven wines. The winery is celebrated for its exceptional single-vineyard expressions, including the Barolo Bussia and Barbaresco Bric Turot, alongside classic regional styles like Nebbiolo d'Alba Occhetti and Roero Arneis.
