Hailing from the steep, amphitheater-like slopes of Piesport, the Piesporter Domherr vineyard is a historic site historically owned by the cathedral canons ('Domherren') of Trier. This south-facing parcel of Devonian slate benefits from an exceptional microclimate that fosters the development of noble rot (Botrytis cinerea). Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt crafts this rare Beerenauslese (BA) through the painstaking, berry-by-berry selection of shriveled, botrytized Riesling grapes. The resulting wine is a luscious, golden nectar of immense complexity, balancing decadent sweetness with the Mosel's signature electric acidity and a deep, slate-driven minerality.
