Pinot Noir has a historic presence in Germany, dating back to Cistercian monks who brought the grape from Burgundy in the Middle Ages. Grown on the region's steep, slate-rich slopes, the grapes for this ros are harvested early to preserve their vibrant acidity. The wine is produced using gentle pressing and cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks to maintain its pristine fruit character.
