Rémy Martin Extra is a legendary expression of Cognac Fine Champagne, representing a masterclass in the art of blending extremely old eaux-de-vie. Sourced exclusively from the prestigious Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne crus, this rare spirit is crafted from grapes distilled on the lees in traditional small copper pot stills. It is then aged for decades—often between 20 and 50 years—in toasted Limousin oak casks deep within the house's historic cellars. The 'Extra' designation signifies a blend of exceptional maturity, far exceeding the requirements of an XO. It reveals a complex tapestry of flavors, characterized by the coveted 'rancio'—a rich, earthy, and nutty note developed only through extensive oak aging—alongside dried fruits, jasmine, and warm spices.
