Hailing from the historic commune of Reichsfeld, the Lieu Dit Buehl Riesling is a profound expression of one of Alsace's most fascinating geological anomalies: a rare vein of Precambrian blue slate dating back over 500 million years. While Alsace is famous for its diverse soils, this blue slate terroir imparts a distinctive, laser-like acidity and a deep, smoky minerality reminiscent of the Mosel, yet grounded in Alsatian power. Cultivated biodynamically, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented with indigenous yeasts, then aged on fine lees.
