✨ Technical Specifications
The Jack & Jill range by Scotchmans Hill is crafted to offer a contemporary, vibrant, and highly approachable expression of Victoria's cool-climate viticulture. Named playfully to reflect a friendly, down-to-earth style, this Sauvignon Blanc captures the bright, breezy maritime influence of the region. Unlike the estate's more structured, mineral-driven single-vineyard releases, the Jack & Jill Sauvignon Blanc focuses on immediate charm and pristine fruit purity. It is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve its lively aromatic profile, which typically highlights zesty citrus, passionfruit, and fresh herbaceous notes, making it a delightful reflection of modern Australian winemaking.
🍾 About the Producer
Established in 1982 by David and Catherine Browne, Scotchmans Hill is a pioneering producer on the maritime Bellarine Peninsula within Victoria's acclaimed Geelong wine region. Planted on rich, volcanic basalt soils and moderated by maritime breezes from Port Phillip Bay and Bass Strait, the estate benefits from a dry, cool maritime microclimate. Guided by long-tenured chief winemaker Robin Brockett, the winery focuses on minimal intervention and precision viticulture to reflect authentic regional terroir. Scotchmans Hill is renowned for its estate-grown, elegant Pinot Noir, complex Chardonnay, cool-climate Shiraz, and its prestige Cornelius single-vineyard collection.
