✨ Technical Specifications

The Old Dairy Pinot Noir pays tribute to the rustic heritage of Scotchmans Hill, which was established on the site of an old operating dairy farm on the Bellarine Peninsula. The historic dairy building still stands on the estate today, serving as a charming reminder of the land's agricultural past. Crafted to be an approachable and vibrant expression of the region's cool-climate terroir, this wine benefits from the black volcanic soils and moderating maritime breezes of Port Phillip Bay. The winemaking team employs traditional fermentation techniques followed by careful maturation in French oak, resulting in a Pinot Noir that beautifully balances bright red berry fruit flavors with subtle savory undertones and fine, elegant tannins.

🍾 About the Producer

Established in 1982 by David and Catherine Browne, Scotchmans Hill is a pioneering producer on the maritime Bellarine Peninsula within Victoria's acclaimed Geelong wine region. Planted on rich, volcanic basalt soils and moderated by maritime breezes from Port Phillip Bay and Bass Strait, the estate benefits from a dry, cool maritime microclimate. Guided by long-tenured chief winemaker Robin Brockett, the winery focuses on minimal intervention and precision viticulture to reflect authentic regional terroir. Scotchmans Hill is renowned for its estate-grown, elegant Pinot Noir, complex Chardonnay, cool-climate Shiraz, and its prestige Cornelius single-vineyard collection.
