✨ Technical Specifications

Spier's 21 Gables Pinotage is a single-varietal red wine sourced from the Coastal Region of South Africa, primarily utilizing fruit from Stellenbosch. The wine is named in honor of the historic Cape Dutch gables on the Spier estate. It is typically crafted from dryland vineyards, which yield concentrated fruit. Fermentation generally takes place in stainless steel or open-top fermenters, followed by maturation in a combination of new and seasoned French, American, and Hungarian oak barrels for approximately 18 to 20 months. This process imparts structured tannins and oak spice to complement the naturally robust, dark fruit profile of the Pinotage grape.
