Crafted by the historic Tommasi family, who have championed the viticultural traditions of the Veneto since 1902, the 'Graticcio' is a beautiful tribute to the region's ancient winemaking heritage. Its name refers to the traditional bamboo racks, or 'graticci', historically used to air-dry grapes. This wine is produced using a partial 'appassimento' method, where a selection of hand-harvested grapes—primarily Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara—are allowed to wither and concentrate their sugars, aromas, and structural elements before fermentation. Grown in the fertile, clay-limestone soils of the Veronese hills, the resulting wine beautifully bridges the gap between fresh, vibrant Valpolicella and the intense complexity of Amarone, offering rich notes of wild cherries, dried plums, and sweet spices.

Founded in 1902 by Giacomo Tommasi, Tommasi Viticoltori is a historic family-owned estate located in Pedemonte, in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico region of Veneto, Italy.
