Tyrrell's has long been a pioneer of Australian Chardonnay, famously releasing the country's first commercial Chardonnay, Vat 47, in the 1970s. The Estate Grown Chardonnay continues this legacy of excellence, sourced from the family's historic Hunter Valley vineyards. Grown on the region's classic sandy alluvial soils, the grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness to retain natural acidity. The wine is fermented in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barriques, followed by a period of lees stirring to add texture and complexity. The result is a modern, elegant expression of Hunter Valley Chardonnay, balancing vibrant citrus and white peach fruit with a delicate, integrated oak influence and a crisp, mineral finish.

Established in 1858 by English immigrant Edward Tyrrell, Tyrrell's is one of Australia's oldest and most prestigious family-owned wineries, located in the historic Pokolbin sub-region of the Hunter Valley, New South Wales.
