β¨ Technical Specifications
Moscatel do Douro represents an aromatic fortified wine tradition originating primarily from higher-elevation schistous parcels near Favaios and AlijΓ³ within the Cima Corgo. Produced predominantly from Moscatel Galego Branco (Muscat Blanc Γ Petits Grains), the grapes undergo short skin maceration before fermentation is arrested via the addition of neutral grape spirit (aguardente). In the 10 Years Old category, the fortified wine matures oxidatively in seasoned oak casks, developing deep amber hues, concentrated rancio tones, and dried fruit complexity while preserving the grape's signature aromatic lifting.
