Hailing from the historic winegrowing cradle of Eguisheim, Wolfberger's 'La Louve' Pinot Gris pays homage to local Alsatian folklore and the untamed spirit of the region, symbolized by the she-wolf ('La Louve'). Established in 1902, the Wolfberger cooperative has long championed the diverse terroirs of Alsace. This Pinot Gris is sourced from vineyards rich in clay and limestone, which impart a signature broad texture balanced by a vibrant mineral backbone. Founded in 1902 in the historic village of Eguisheim, Wolfberger was established when visionary local winegrowers united to create one of Alsace's most prominent and influential cooperative houses. A pioneer in regional innovation, the producer played an instrumental role in the official establishment of the Crémant d'Alsace AOC in 1976, harmonizing centuries-old regional tradition with modern winemaking precision.
