Yellow Tail blev grundlagt i 2001 af Casella-familien under Casella Family Brands og har hjemme i Yenda i New South Wales, hvor druerne hentes på tværs af vinzonen South Eastern Australia. Brandet blev skabt af John Casella med en klar vision om at fremstille tilgængelige, ukomplicerede og ligefremme vine. Huset opnåede lynhurtigt global anerkendelse for sin livlige stil og det ikoniske logo med den gulfodede klippekænguru.
